Kinship migration
Relative immigrant green card
A relative immigrant green card allows a U.S. citizen or permanent resident to apply for green card status for specific relatives. The immigration law divides family-based immigrants into different categories, including spouses, minor children, adult unmarried children, married children, and siblings. Applicants need immediate family members of U.S. citizens or permanent residents as guarantors, and submit relevant application documents and supporting documents, such as birth certificates, marriage certificates, and proof of kinship. Once approved, applicants can be given a priority date and eventually go through steps such as interviews and investigations to obtain green card status.
